Ever since that first week of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, books, and activities in the beginning of March, we’ve read several more Dr. Seuss books and did a few more Seussical activities. Here’s a few…
The Lorax – making masks
First we made the paint ourselves and colored it the “right” shade of orange.
even ladyBug painted, but she promptly was ready for her nap after a few strokes =P
We used microwave paint again. So after painted, it only took less than 2 minutes of nuking and our plates were dry and ready for the next step. Just enough time to wash hands =D
It’s the Lorax of course!
The Cat In The Hat (again) – hat snack
sticking marshmallows on skewers
counting the number of skewers
admiring his hat
then gobbled it up. yes, I let him eat the whole thing =P
Green Eggs and Ham – homemade playdough
While the kids were playing on their own, I cooked up a batch of playdough. I have to say… it was not easy at all.
However, it was a delight to play with.
To the white, we added glitter = super fun =D
Ten Apple Up On Top – more playdough fun!
after rolling up playdough to make some apples, we stuck them through dry spaghetti to make 10 apples up on top
counting his apples
