What’s up with ladyBug?

Well, she turned 9 months old while she stayed with my parents as I worked on Boo’s potty training.  After that week at my mom’s, ladyBug returned to us practically like a new kid.  She’s more demanding if that’s possible.  She yells at us when we don’t get her, if we’re too slow for her, when we’re trying to feed her and she doesn’t like it, when we’re trying to change her diaper, when she wants to stand and we’re trying to bathe her, and possible many other instances…  She now sways to music and sometimes it sounds like she’s singing too.  Twice, we found her doing the hand motions to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, minus the “diamond.”  She pulls herself to stand very fast these days and can walk around when she holds onto someone or something.  She is very active and is all over the place pulling things off the shelves.

She also really like playing with whatever Boo is playing with.  Though sometimes, she really gets into Boo’s cars.  Boo has no patience with her and pushes her away.  She yells at him and tries some more.  He pushes at her again and she cries.  As she’s crying, she’s still trying to grab at Boo’s toys.  Boo would be shouting at her saying something like, ” No!  No, MuiMui.  That’s mine.  No MuiMui.  That’s too yaiyai (naughty).”  At whatever point I show up, ladyBug quickly climbs up me and sobs on my shoulder and vocalizes her complaint.  It’s not a pretty sight of the future…

And Boo?

Well, during the same week ladyBug turned 9 months, Boo turned 30 months (2.5 years old).  He started his “Why?” phase.  He also started responding with “mm hmm”  and “mm mmm”  instead of his previous “yes, please” and “no thank you.”  Though it’s pretty cute, it bugs me because his new responses sounds practically the same.  I have a hard time figuring out what he means.  He’s really good at copying what people say.  As we’re reading his favorite books, he’s also trying to say the words at the same time.

Here’s Boo and Digum having a great time playing hide-and-seek with an old IKEA barn.  Digum was super flexible and was able to fit herself all in the barn.

Here’s Boo’s attempt.  AHHAH!  To his defense, this was his first try.  He got better later in the night.

Boo also started having night terrors.  In the middle of the night he would wake up crying/screaming.  When we ask him what’s wrong he would say some incoherent stuff but the gist of it is that he got scared.  It’s been happening twice a night this week.  We’re running on low sleep… but that’s some of the new stuff that bugNboo are doing.  =)
